Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I contact someone at Encore?
The best way to get a quick response is to email us at encorekidsdublin@gmail.com, or message us on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/encorekids. If you leave a message on our voicemail please be aware that it can take up to 3 days for us to respond, online we can usually answer within 24 hours. If you have an urgent query please contact Maddy/Lorna (centre supervisors) at any centre. They will ensure that we get your message immediately. When a teacher is with a class, please wait until changeover time for any questions/discussions: our no.1 task has to be to supervise the class!
- What happens at class every week?
Each week the students have a half hour Drama class, and either half an hour of Singing or Dancing. Each subject is taught by a teacher who specialises in that area. We also have Workshops during each term, with extra activities and fun for all!
- How do I ensure my child gets the most out of Encore?
By attending class on time every week, and going over script, songs and dances at home, your child will be able to get the most from their weekly class, and be able to perform like a star on stage! Scripts do need to be learnt at home.
- What do the group colours mean?
We have developed our “Rainbow System” at Encore!, whereby as students progress through our classes they move up through the coloured groups.
Purple : Tots; Pre-school, Blue: Jnr / Snr Infants, Green : 1st – 3rd class,
Yellow : 4th – 6th class, Orange : 5tth class – 2nd year (grouped), Red : 2nd – 6th year.
The student’s folder indicates their group colour. It’s important to know this!!
- Does every child perform in the end of year show?
Every child in Ballet, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red Groups perform in the Mill Theatre in our end of year shows. Purple (Tots) perform in a display in St. Colmcille’s School at the end of Term 2.
- How do I know which show my child is in?
The students will receive all the details about the theatre rehearsals and shows before the midterm break. Each Group will perform in one show during our show weeks in May. Keep an eye on your child’s folder for these details.
- How many rehearsals are in the Theatre?
All groups including Ballet and Hip hop Groups have a Theatre Rehearsal in The Mill Theatre
- When do I book tickets for the show?
In March, a date will be emailed to all parents.
- How do I pay?
Our payment system is by Easy Payments Plus. You can log on through our website where you click the button marked “Enrol Here” or by logging into easypaymentsplus.com. You can choose to pay the full amount or by four equal instalments. You can pay in cash on the first day of class. - How do I know my child is progressing
At Encore! every single child improves and grows in confidence and skills throughout the course of the year. If this is not the case, we will contact you by phone or email immediately. If you have a specific query please do approach a teacher, preferably after class time, as their priority has to be the students during class time. You can also email encorekidsdublin@gmail.com with a specific query at any time during the year.
